Light of the Heavens

Dear Supporters,

We are excited to announce our first fundraising event in which we will be walking 7 miles for Al-Nimr and the political prisoners in Saudi Arabia.

Support Najaf, Farshad and Hasnain on their 7 mile walk from the Shia Ithna’asheri Community of Middlesex in London to al-Zahra Centre in Watford. This is to raise money towards our all important work for the freedom of Sheikh Al-Nimr and political prisoners in Saudi Arabia.

We urge everyone to sponsor us with whatever you deem feasible and appropriate, nothing is too little ! Your donations can help us help these victims who have been victimised for no other reason except that they demand human rights and reform. Please forward and share this wherever possible. NO to oppression….NO to injustice and NO to sectarianism!

Nigerian Soldier Kills Shiite Man During Procession For Prophet Muhammad’s Daughter (A)

A Nigerian Army patrol team killed a member of the Shi’ite Islamic group, Musa Abubakar, on Sunday during a clash between the group and the patrol team in Suleja, Niger State.

The clash occurred when the group held a procession to celebrate the birth of Lady Fatima, daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUT).

The group’s spokesman, Hassan Adamu, told the News Agency of Nigeria on a telephone chat that Mr. Abubakar died hours later from the bullet wound he had sustained during the clash with the Army.

He said the Army patrol van ran into the group’s possession around the vicinity of the IBB Market, questioning the group over their activity of occupying the road and ordering them to disperse.

Mr. Adamu alleged that one of the soldiers started shooting sporadically during which Mr. Abubakar was hit by a stray bullet.

He said that the group had earlier sought and obtained a police permit before embarking on the procession, saying they had been celebrating their leader’s birthday for the past 15 years, without molestation from any quarters.

When contacted, the Deputy Director of the Nigerian Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Omale Ochaguba, confirmed the incident but insisted that the group’s procession was illegal.

The army spokesman said that during the incident, a stray bullet hit a member of the group in the abdomen, adding that the member was taken to the hospital where he later died.

In his response, the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer (DPPRO), Richard Oguche, also confirmed the incident, saying that investigation has been opened into the fracas.

Funeral Prayer for martyr Musa Sadeeq took place on Tuesday the 7th of May 2013 in his home town Suleja, Niger state.

Islamophobic: their Koran permits them to beat their wives...
Me: Yes it does but could you tell me what with?
Islamophobic: ...
Me: A blade of grass, I don't know the last time you tried to beat someone with a blade of grass but it is pretty damn impossible, you must look at the people the Qur'an was revealed to, the Arabs at that time (just like most of the world) would beat their wives brutally. To tell them they couldn't beat their wives would have caused rebellion, so Allah (swt) being the greatest of planners, revealed it in a way that was so clever. It permitted them to beat their wives (as not to cause rebellion) however only with a blade of grass (which we all know to be impossible). Then the most beautiful line came saying but surely it is better for you to forgive, do you see now that the Qur'an does not permit the brutal beating of wives which in that time would have saved the lives of many women. Also I suggest you look at the rights of a wife over her husband, then tell me my religion is sexist.
